Kitty

Kitty is a GPU-accelerated terminal emulator. This folder holds the theme and display options (Catppuccin Macchiato with transparency).

What the config does

  • Transparency background_opacity 0.4.
  • Core colours Foreground, background, selection (Catppuccin Macchiato).
  • Cursor Colour and text colour.
  • URLs Underline colour on hover.
  • Window Active/inactive/bell border colours.
  • Titlebars Wayland/macOS use system colour.
  • Tab bar Active/inactive tab and bar background.
  • Marks Colours for up to three selection marks.
  • 16-colour palette Full set (color0color15) for the theme.

How to use it

  1. Install Kitty (kitty).
  2. Symlink or copy this config to ~/.config/kitty/ so kitty.conf is used.
  3. Launch kitty. If you use another default terminal (e.g. Foot under Hyprland), you can still run kitty when you want this theme.
